How to play All Star on Saxophone

On this page, we'll be learning how to play All Star on Alto Saxophone, Tenor Saxophone, Baritone Saxophone or Soprano Saxophone!

All Star was recorded by American rock band Smash Mouth for their second studio album Astro Lounge (1999), and intended as an "anthem" for outcasts. Its use in the film Shrek (2001) and revival as a meme in the 2010s have ensured its continued popularity, ranking as one of the most-streamed rock songs from 2017-2020. While the band was originally hesitant to license All Star for use in a family film, after an early screening of Shrek they were convinced and even recorded another song for the film – a cover of the Monkees' "I'm a Believer".
