A Whole New World remains one of Disney's best-known and best-loved songs. With music by Alan Menken and lyrics by Tim Rice, it helped propel Aladdin (1992) to become the highest-grossing animated film at the time of its release. The original recording, a duet by singers Brad Kane and Lea Salonga in their roles as Aladdin and Jasmine, won the Academy Award for Best Original Song and the Grammy for Song of the Year.

The 2019 live-action version of Aladdin featured Mena Massoud and Naomi Scott as well as a cover of the song by Zayn Malik and Zhavia Ward.
