How to play Raiders March on Saxophone

On this page, we'll be learning how to play Raiders March from Indiana Jones on Alto Saxophone, Tenor Saxophone, Baritone Saxophone or Soprano Saxophone!

This iconic movie theme was composed by John Williams for the first Indiana Jones movie, Raiders of the Lost Ark (1981), starring Harrison Ford and directed by Steven Spielberg. The film's soundtrack was nominated for an Academy Award but was beaten out by Chariots of Fire.

Williams spent weeks working on the heroic main theme and came up with two ideas. He played them for Spielberg, who suggested he use them both. The two melodies became the main theme and bridge of the Raiders March, also known as the Indiana Jones Theme.
