How to play My Favorite Things on Saxophone

On this page, we'll be learning how to play My Favorite Things from The Sound of Music on Alto Saxophone, Tenor Saxophone, Baritone Saxophone or Soprano Saxophone!

Written by legendary Broadway songwriters Richard Rodgers and Oscar Hammerstein II, this legendary song made its debut in the stage musical The Sound of Music in 1959. In the 1965 film version the song was performed by Julie Andrews; this version placed at No. 64 on the AFI's "100 Years ... 100 Songs" list of cinema's top songs of the 20th century.

More recently, the melody of My Favorite Things was referenced in Ariana Grande's hit song 7 Rings (2019). As a result, it was reported that Grande signed away 90% of her royalties for the song to the estates of Rodgers and Hammerstein.
